Swim Meets

At the commencement of the Long Course and Short Course swimming season, Nuna Aqua Power publishes a list of swim meets the coaches attend and recommend our swimmers participate in based on their squad level.

Swimming Victoria Championship Events

Nuna Aqua Power Swimming Club also compete in the Swimming Victoria championship events.

  • Victorian Open Championships

  • Victorian Age Championships

  • Victorian Sprint Championships

  • Victorian Metropolitan Long Course Championships

  • Victorian Open Short Course Championships

  • Victorian Age Short Course Championships

Our qualifying swimmers also compete in the Australian Age Championships (usually held in April).

Club Nights

Nuna Aqua Power organises Club nights throughout the year at the IGGS pool.  Although called club nights, these swimming events are held in the morning or late afternoon on a Friday or Sunday.

Swimmers from all squads are encouraged to attend as they are a great chance to experience racing for the first time, get to know other swimmers and to achieve club race times.  There are also some fun relays and races and food and snacks, so it is a fun way to swim together with your fellow club members.

PB Challenges

PB Challenges are a fantastic opportunity for swimmers to gain racing experience in a fun, supportive, and relaxed environment. Unlike traditional competitions where athletes are ranked solely on finishing positions, PB Challenges reward swimmers for improving their own performances. The more consistently athletes train, develop their skills, and improve their times, the more points they accumulate throughout the season.

This means that every swimmer, regardless of age or ability level, has the opportunity to be successful.

Both competitive and recreational members are welcome to enter!

The David Cook PB Challenge Trophy will be presented at the annual Presentation Night to the boy and girl who accumulate the highest number of points across the four PB Challenges held throughout the 12-month season. Medals will also be presented at Presentation Night to the age group winners (7&U, 8yrs, 9yrs, 10yrs & 11&O) based on points accumulated throughout the PB Challenge season. Age as of the start of the season (1st July). To be eligible for both awards, swimmers must compete in at least two PB Challenges during the season.

Club Championships

Club Championships are usually held annually and are open to all Nuna Aqua Power members.  The Club Championships are a fun and social event for all club members.  Swimmers are encouraged to participate in all events for their age group.  Trophies and medals from the results of the Club Championships will be awarded at the annual Presentation Night.
