Ivanhoe Aqua Power (IAP), is a competitive swim club suitable for members looking to swim in a squad based program to improve their swimming skills and fitness levels
We cater for all levels and goals – we offer Junior, Intermediate, Target, and Senior.
Offering up to 10 sessions per week (including swim, gym, yoga and dryland)
Our swimmers compete at Swimming Victoria approved meets as well as State and National Championship levels.
Joining our club will give you access to excellent coaching and training programs led by our Head Coach – Yu Dong. Yu holds a Swimming Australia Silver Coaching licence and has coached many State and National level swimmers.
We offer morning and evening training sessions in a 6 lane, 25 metre indoor heated pool at the Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School (IGGS) - Upper Heidelberg Road, Ivanhoe. For Senior Squad, we also provide regular opportunities for seasonal training in nearby 50 metre pools.
The swimming season runs from July to June each year. Activities offered in addition to training include regular Club PB (personal best) and social events throughout the season.
We also participate in numerous competitions held by the Metro North district, Swimming Victoria and other Clubs to ensure that swimmers are provided with on-going competitive experience. Our primary objective is to support swimmers to achieve their personal best and promote a healthy lifestyle and good sportsmanship by providing an environment that is competitive, fun and safe for all levels of swimmers.
Ivanhoe Girls Grammar School
Ivanhoe Girls' Grammar School (IGGS) has a long-established sponsorship arrangement with Ivanhoe Aqua Power.
IAP are grateful for the use of the IGGS pool and would like to acknowledge the generous support of IGGS, enabling us to use the school’s pool for our training sessions, PB Nights and Club Championships.
